AHG also sends emails/mail regarding national events and information.  This site will also be utilized to keep you informed of our troop events and news.

We are also implementing a Yahoo Group this year.  If you have specific questions or comments that may be beneficial to the entire troop, please post them there (there is a tab on the main page to get to the Yahoo Group).  The calendar is set up to send reminders a day before each calendar event.

Focus:
The main emphases of AHG are:
Life skills enhancement—acquire life skills through badge acquisition
Developing team work—working on goals as a troop
Social development—building friendships and having fun
Girl leadership –provide leadership opportunities via committees (older girls), mentoring , etc
Character development—focus on oath and creed in meetings and service (outward focus)
Spiritual development—praying together, focusing on the creed and biblical values in all activities
